Lead Terms
Version 1, 4 November 2026
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and Tradie Buddy AI (ABN 13 220 178 522), called "we" or "us". They apply when you bid for a territory, request a territory, or receive leads from us. Your lead services agreement sets out your prices and the full detail of how leads are counted and billed. If it and these terms differ, the lead services agreement applies.
2. Territories
- A territory is one trade in one area, as named on our website, for example Plumbing, Melbourne VIC. The leads for a territory are the phone calls and web enquiries that come to us for that trade in that area.
- Each territory goes to one contractor at a time.
- A territory's area is described in general terms. We decide which suburbs and localities belong to it.
3. Dividing a territory into smaller areas
- We may start a territory as a large area, such as all of Melbourne. As lead volume grows, we may divide any territory into smaller territories, for example Melbourne North, Melbourne South, Melbourne East and Melbourne West, or by council area or groups of suburbs. This applies to every territory, in cities and in regional areas.
- We will give you at least 30 days' written notice before a division takes effect, with a description of the new areas.
- If you hold the territory being divided, you choose first. You can keep one of the new territories, several of them, or all of them. Each one you keep is a separate territory with its own price, agreed with you in writing. Until a new price is agreed, each one you keep stays at your current price per lead.
- If you have not told us your choice by the date the division takes effect, you keep the new territory that produced the most of your leads in the 90 days before the notice.
- Any new territory you do not keep can be offered to other contractors in line for it, or opened for bids.
- Free leads do not start again because a territory is divided.
- If you do not want to continue after a division, you can end your lead services agreement before it takes effect, with no cancellation fee.
4. Bids
- A bid is an offer, not a contract. Nothing is charged until you are placed on a territory and have signed a lead services agreement.
- To be placed, your business details, ABN, public liability insurance and any licence your trade needs must be complete and current.
- Contractors who choose to pay from their first lead are placed ahead of those who choose to try it first. Within each group, the higher offer goes first, then the earlier bid.
- A higher bid does not take a territory from a contractor who is paying on time.
5. The 2 free leads
If you choose to try a territory first, your first 2 leads on it are free. If you cancel before your third lead, you pay nothing. If you keep the territory, every lead after the first 2 is charged at your agreed price.
6. What you pay for
- You pay only for leads that meet the lead quality rules in your lead services agreement. Spam, cold calls, sales calls, the same caller again within 7 days, junk or duplicate web enquiries and our own tests are never billed.
- You can dispute any lead within 48 hours of receiving it. We check every dispute, and a lead that should not have been billed is credited on your next statement.
7. Paying
- You get a statement every Monday for the week before, paid by direct debit. There are no monthly fees, retainers or setup fees.
- If a payment is 7 days overdue, we may move the territory's leads to another contractor until it is paid.
8. No lock-in
There is no minimum term. You can end your lead services agreement by giving the notice it sets out. Leads you receive during the notice period are billed as usual.
9. No promise of volume
The lead numbers we show are a record of what a territory has produced, not a promise of what it will produce. Volume changes with the season, the weather and demand. We do not guarantee any number of leads or any amount of work.
10. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Changes and general
- We may update these terms. We will give you at least 30 days' written notice of a change before it applies to you, and a change never applies to leads you have already received. If you do not accept a change, you can end your lead services agreement before it applies, with no cancellation fee.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
