How to cancel hipages: contract, cooling off and fees
What hipages' own terms say about cancelling, auto-renewal, cooling off and early termination fees, and the steps to take, in order.
Step by step
- 1Find your term end dateIt is in your key information email, or your auto-renewal email if you have renewed.
- 2Turn off automatic renewal nowhipages' terms let you switch off auto-renewal at any time, by phone, email or in the app. Do this first, even if you stay to the end of your term, so it does not roll into a new 12 month term.
- 3Check whether you are in a cooling off periodYou have 7 days from joining, and from each renewal. If you cancel in that window and have not accepted any leads, hipages refunds the initial payment. Accepting a lead ends the cooling off period.
- 4Know the early termination feeOutside the cooling off period, hipages may charge a fee equal to the subscription fees for the rest of your term, due immediately. Compare that with simply finishing the term with auto-renewal switched off.
- 5Consider a pause insteadOn the 6 month term you can pause once for 14 to 31 days; on the 12 month term, up to 62 days in total. Your term is extended by the pause, and an admin fee may apply.
- 6Put it in writingEmail your request, keep the confirmation, and note who you spoke to. It makes any later dispute much simpler.

Use hipages' complaints process first and keep everything in writing. Can I cancel hipages at any time?
You can turn off automatic renewal at any time. Cancelling the contract itself is free only in the 7 day cooling off period and only if you have not accepted a lead; after that hipages may charge the remaining subscription fees for the term.
How long is a hipages contract?
New subscriptions start on a 6 month introductory term and then renew automatically for 12 months. hipages must remind you by email and SMS at least 2 weeks before it renews.
Is there a hipages cancellation fee?
Outside the cooling off period, hipages may charge an early termination fee equal to the subscription fees payable for the rest of your term, due immediately.
How do I stop hipages auto-renewing?
Tell hipages by phone, email or in the app that you do not want your subscription to auto-renew. Its terms say it will turn the feature off.
